FREE DENTAL CLINIC: State Rep. Judy Solano, D-Adams County, will welcome volunteers and dental patients to Brighton to participate in a large-scale free dental clinic. Those receiving care will be senior citizens, adults and children who don’t have enough money to pay for dental care and who have no Medicaid, no CHP+, and no dental insurance. The event is at the Adams County Regional Park Complex, 9755 Henderson Road, in Brighton, on both Sept. 11 and Sept. 12. WALK TO CURE DIABETES: More than 5000 walkers representing local corporations, families, schools, and other organizations are expected to participate in the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) 18th annual Staples Walk to Cure Diabetes — Presented by Kaiser Permanente, on Sept. 13 at Elitch Gardens from 7-11 a.m. The fundraising goal of the chapter is to realize more than $1 million for research to find a cure for diabetes and its complications.
