Plenty to do in Gunnison, Crested ButteGene Davis, DDN Staff WriterWednesday, November 18, 2009 | | | The Gunnison-Crested Butte area offers a variety of fun activities like the Alley Loop Nordic event, in which a group of women dress up in fun costumes. |
Dog sledding, a sleigh ride to a five-course meal, and gourmet cooking classes are all a part of the fun that is being offered by the Gunnison and Crested Butte area this winter.
The Gunnison-Crested Butte Tourism Association is touting the top 10 ideas for a winter getaway in the area. Although the tourism association is highlighting how the adventure and relaxation options are perfect for a girls getaway, most of the possibilities can appeal to men, too.
“The stunning scenery, fun-spirited atmosphere, amazing recreation, new spa opportunities and wealth of locally owned shops, eateries and inns combine for an outstanding experience whether you are in your 20s or your 70s,” said Jane Chaney, executive director of the Gunnison-Crested Butte Tourism Association.
