What a great article. I happened to be on my lunch break and stopped to listen. I had no idea that my tax dollars were killing innocent family pets. Who is this Councilman Charlie Brown? He is a councilman...not an expert on this topic. Mr. Brown... I have in fact sat with a child that was bitten by a dog. The dog went right through his cheek and lip. He was in so much pain. He still has a scare to this day. It was a German Shepherd. My wife has a dog scar from a Pomeranian. Seems to me that if Vets and National EXPERTS are saying Breed Bans don't work...and seems like no one at the Animal Control can say otherwise...Then maybe my tax dollars don't need to be spent killing anymore animals. Not with a $120 million deficit. I have raised a family in Denver. Been here more than 20 years. My kids are all here with families...all in Denver. I'm not too happy with this Charlie Brown on some rant when he doesn't have evidence 4 years later to support him. There is nothing wrong with new ideas far as I'm concerned. Education seems to always work. Those people at that rally did not fit a stereotype of Pit Bull Owners. They were mostly white and full of frustration. Bottom line...if you don't have evidence to support a Breed Ban then STOP USING MY TAX DOLLARS TO FUND IT. Thank you.
